Our Practice

George V. Duello, DDS, MS has been in private practice in St. Louis since 1983 after serving as Chief Of Periodontics, MacDill AFB, Tampa, Florida.

Together with Dr. Albair, Dr. Duello has developed the state of the art practice in periodontics, dental implants, oral plastic surgery, and minimally invasive periodontal surgery.  Our modern and comfortable facitilty features I-CAT CT radiographs, Siemans Orthophos-panoramic/cephalometric radiographs,  and Schick digital radiographs to enhance our diagnosis.  We use Nikon digital photography with Consult Pro software to communicate with and educate patients.  Phase contrast microscopy and a Global surgical microscopy are used to assist in providing precision in our treatments.  NobelGuide software is used  to preformed implant treatment planning and is used predict every aspect of flapless surgery in advance with pinpoint accuracy.

In addition to the clinical area of our practice,  Dr. Duello has a  teaching center next to the practice to support the continuing eduation needs of his fellow dentists and referrals. 

Dr. Duello is a member of the American, Missouri, and Greater St. Louis Dental Society. Dr. Duello is a member of the Missouri Society of Periodontists, Midwest Society of Periodontology, the American Academy of Periodontology, Academy of Osseointegration, International Congress of Oral Implantologist and a Fellow of The American College of Dentists.  

Dr. Duello has appeared on KSDK/NBC-Channel 5, KMOV/CBS-Channel 4, and KTVI/FOX-Channel 2 in St. Louis on periodontal and implant related subjects.  He has published in professional and lay press on matters related to oral health.

At this time, Dr. Duello is the Director of the Gateway Study Club in St. Louis. Our club works with many of the finest dentists in our community to provide quality education and care for our patients. The Gateway Study Club is a component club of the internationally recognized Seattle Study Club network.  

Dr. Duello's wife, Colleen, is a dental hygienist,  who is active in the practice and the Gateway Study Club.  He has two children, David and Alexandra, who are enjoying active teenage years.  His hobbies include golf, fishing, and traveling to share dental information with his professional colleages.

William B. Albair, DDS, MS

William B. Albair, DDS, MS is a 1975 graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. Prior to receiving his dental degree, Dr. Albair completed undergraduate studies at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Dr. Albair practiced general dentistry in Webster Groves before he returning to UMKC School of Dentistry where he completed residency training in periodontics, and earned a Masters Degree in Oral Biology. After graduating in 1981, Dr. Albair opened his periodontal speciality practice in Sunset Hills.

Dr. Albair is a member of the American, Missouri, and St. Louis Dental Associations. Dr. Albair is also a member of the Missouri Society of Periodontists, Midwest Society of Periodontolgy, American Academy of Periodontology and a Fellow of the International College of Dentists. He is a past president of the Missouri Society of Periodontists.

He is active in several organizations including Covenant House and the University of Missouri Tiger Scholarship Fund. He is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Marianist Retreat Center.

Dr. Albair and his wife, Deb, reside in St. Louis County and spend much of their spare time in Colorado where they enjoy biking, hiking, and golf. They have two grown daughters, Kristen and Stephanie.

Matthew S. Slaven, DDS, MSD

Originally from Indiana, he completed his undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis in 1998.  Dr. Slaven attended the University of Michigan School of Dentistry (1998-2002), where in addition to his clinical work, Dr. Slaven conducted research utilizing growth factors to promote bone formation. Dr. Slaven graduated from Indiana University with a Masters of Science and Dentistry and certificate in periodontics in 2005.  Dr. Slaven's masters thesis was a comprehensive survey of over 1,000 dental implants placed by the graduate periodontics department since 1990.

 

Along with his strong research background, Dr. Slaven is enthusiatic about comprehensive periodontal therapy, regenrative procedures, and dental implants.  Dr. Slaven is a member of the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology, and the Greater St. Louis Dental Association.

He resides in Ballwin, Missouri with his wife, Jeni, and their two wonderful chidren, Colton and Sydney.  His outside interests include exercising, basketbvall, and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals.
